FoamPro – Physical foam injection moulding

The FoamPro technology is a Yizumi adaptation of the MuCell technology from Trexel Inc. In partnership with Trexel, new aggregate and screw solutions are continuously being developed to improve the robustness of the system as well as the melt properties.
Physical foam injection moulding based on injector technology is characterized by the addition of the physical blowing agent in the front part of the plasticizing unit. The blowing agent is dissolved in the melt under high pressure.
The pressure required for this not only depends on the selected blowing fluid (CO2, N2) but also on the thermoplastic melt used.
The foaming agent is metered via a metering unit from Trexel. The communication between the Yizumi injection moulding machine control and the Trexel dosing system control is fully automatic.
